TRACK ATTACK
Track Attack is a fun-filled group of skiers, ages 10-13, who get together during the winter to learn and refine the basic techniques of cross-country skiing and of course to have fun on the trails with new and old friends.
Goals of the Program:
The focus of the program is to reinforce and build upon the skills learned in the Rabbit program and to introduce other cross country ski activities and skills such as racing, back country ski adventures, ski tounaments, orienteering, roller skiing and much more.
The program is open to all children aged 10-13 that have achieved a certain level of the skills and endurance and are keen to ski. Track Attack has a Dryland component, which is optional for the participants, and starts mid October. The Ski component starts up as soon as conditions are suitable and will carry through to early March, usually wrapping up at the same time as the Rabbit season.
Track Attack will try to get on the snow for formal lessons three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Tuesdays – 6:00 – 8:00
Thursdays – 3:15 – 5:00
Saturdays – 10:30 – 12:30
One of the racing goals for this group is to attend as many local races as possible and 1 away race (overnight) These will be a very fun and team building events for these athletes. This year the track attack group has over fifteen skiers. It will be a fun season!!
