Strategic Plan
Our club has come a long way over the past 25 years. From it’s humble beginnings in the 1980s, when the first trails were carved from the Pine Creek forests, we have grown to one of the foremost club-run cross-country ski areas in the region.
Over the years our activities have been guided by major projects and events such as construction of the Chris Dahlie trails, the Buchfink lodge, construction of the lit trails, and hosting the National Ski Championships. Now with large-scale trail and infrastructure development complete, the club has an opportunity to reflect on our progress, reach out to our members and get a better sense of what’s important to the club.
In January 2006 the club initiated a strategic planning process. The objective of the process was to determine the needs and goals of the club and develop a five year strategic plan, supported by members, that will enable the club to achieve these goals.
The process included a membership survey, planning meetings, development and review a draft plan by the executive and program areas, and finally, ratification of the plan on October 21, 2008.
